I do not recall a single case where the PAC has held any person responsible for any wrong-doings.
Yes, they do make some noises like when the Auditor-General comes up with his Annual Report of HORRORS but after a few weeks in the media limelight, all is well again in Malaysia.
Just like the records in immigration that can be wiped out by persons unknown in a recent murder case - yes MURDER can also be on the menu of those who subvert our nation.
So why is the PAC like the 65-year old who suffers impotence and needs Cialis or Viagra? The main reson is that the appointees to the PAC especially the Chairman are appointed by the government and hence they really cannot blow any whistle on wrong-doings.
For example I wonder why the PAC is described as "powerful" by the article in malaysiakini. To all intents and purposes, it merely acts as a PR body that absolves the government of any wrong-doing since it has no authority to bring the government to court.
